A variety of community groups, businesses and volunteers have a great weekend for fun, food, school reunions, recreation and entertainment planned for this summer. Rollin’ into Rivers, taking place July 6-9, 2023, will showcase much that our community has to offer, with a special focus on the history of the Sekine bicycle (and its links to our community), and Rivers 110th anniversary.
Some of the many events planned for the weekend include high school class reunions (1966, 1973, 1974), golf tournament, grand opening of the Wildlife Ranges and Learning Centre, turkey shoot, pancake breakfast, parade, kids’ games and events, Sekine Bicycle Tours and historical displays, Rivers Pipe Band Reunion, beer gardens and entertainment, e-bike demos, Love Local Barbecue, Classic Car Show and Shine, draw for the VIA Rail Trip from Winnipeg to Churchill (sold out), CJ’s Supper at the Lake, Old Fashioned Hootenanny at CJ’s, fireworks, Antique Tractor Trek to Clack’s Museum, and Paddle Poker on Rivers Lake.
Don’t miss the fireworks show on Saturday, July 8, at Millennium Park, beginning at dusk.
